Company Description

Part of Molo Lolo Group, Addo African Home is the ideal getaway for families, nature lovers and adventurers.

This green escape used to be a farm of which it has kept all the charm, surrounded by the fresh fragrant scent of citrus from the surrounding fields.

Located only 10 minutes drive from Addo National Elephant Park, we offer full-day or half-day game drives.

Our restaurant is also a cooking school, where our students create great recipes from vegetables grown in our organic garden.

The natural swimming pool enlightens our ecological consciousness and our wonderful garden, comprised of vegetables, fruits, berries, herbs, various kinds of plants, flowers, and trees.

Enjoy a delicious healthy breakfast in the morning, swim in the natural pool among the banana trees in the garden, get a massage from our beautician, join our yoga class at sunset and end up your day with a romantic dinner.

This is the perfect gateway to explore the beauty of nature and spend memorable moments.

A fine-dining locavore experience

Our recipes are made with home-grown vegetables from our organic garden, handpicked by our caring team.

We welcome students from renowned cooking schools in France & South Africa, ensuring a great culinary experience for our guests and sharing our vision of a fair and responsible cuisine.

From slow-cooked local venison to traditional gourmet dessert, our team will give in to your taste for the adventure!

Let yourself be carried away by the taste of our organic vegetables from the garden, with home-grown salads, cauliflowers, tomatoes, beetroots and aromatic herbs used by our cooking students to make delicious recipes.

As we work with fresh and seasonal produce, our market menu varies very regularly depending on the market, harvest, and our chefs’ creativity.

Nature & Wellbeing Activities

Our rangers will take you to Addo Elephant National Park, only 10 minute’s drive from the property, for a full-day or half-day game drive experience.

Addo Elephant National Park is locatedtai in the dense valley of the Sundays River region. The park offers a memorable wildlife experience and is home to the Big 5, namely Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard.

We offer yoga, pilates, meditation and breathing workshops conducted by a certified yoga teacher.

Enjoy sunrise or sunset classes by the natural pool or in the garden, and let yourself be enhanced by the fresh fragrant scent of citrus from the surrounding fields and the beautiful sounds of nature in a unique and outstanding environment.

A wonderful moment in the great outdoors to open up your body and mind and get positive energies.

Along with our eco-friendly and sustainable practices, our swimming pool is 100% natural with no chemicals. The plants allow the water to oxygenate naturally. Also perfectly safe for children, this is the ideal place to relax after a day in the Park.

A zero-waste philosophy

We said no to plastic and found alternatives to replace all plastic products on the property.

We started a recycling project in the nearby township to raise awareness among local communities, and our goal is to become a role model in the ‘0 waste’ practices.

Supporting the local community

Through the Molo Lolo Cooking School and our many community development projects, we help young people in the townships to get a better start in life by offering them training and employment opportunities in the hospitality sector.

We support local entrepreneurs by offering training and support for the creation and development of their own small businesses.

As an example, the launch of Addo African Clothes enabled us to hire Monika as a freelance seamstress for the creation of our first collection.

Addo African Clothes is a 100% local and ethical brand, creating original safari outfits and wellness accessories in South Africa.

We use cotton and hemp from certified organic cultures that do not use any pesticide, and the dyeing process is free from heavy metals and chlorine.

Our standards ensure that our clothes are manufactured within respect of workers’ rights and fair labour practices.

Addo African Clothes is an alternative to fast fashion companies and gives the opportunity to buy locally and responsibly and contribute to the development of fair and sustainable trade.
