Company Description
Bambu Guest House is an eco retreat located in Tzununa, near Lake Atitlan.
The guesthouse is mainly intended to accommodate groups, who come to learn about permaculture and eco construction, but it also welcomes individual travellers, for a spiritual retreat or a simple stay.
It is part of the ecological complex Atitlan Organics.
The construction of the lodgings has been done using local and natural materials. Bamboo is combined with wood, stone and glass in these four large, bright rooms, designed to accommodate up to 24 people. Each of them has a bathroom with hot water and a balcony with a view. Wifi is available on site.
The restaurant operates on the principle of a farmhouse meal and serves succulent dishes, cooked by local chefs using mainly organic products from the farm, supplemented by those from surrounding farms. Milk, yoghurts, cheeses and dairy products, as well as green vegetables, honey, coffee and chickens, among others, are all produced and processed on the farm.
Bambu guest house also cares about the well-being of its guests, offering them common areas to meet up over a meal, a video or a board game. Yoga classes are organized daily and the library offers many books.
