Company Description
Sleeping at a local’s house is the most pleasant and authentic way to learn about a region and its specialities. And to get to know everything that Corsica has to offer, nothing beats staying at Casa Murza.
The geographical location of Casa Murza is a dream come true. Perched at the top of Vico, facing La Sposata, it is the ideal place to admire the Niolu Valley or the mountains of the upper canton, among others.
Hiking and swimming enthusiasts will find plenty to remember.
On a plot of land of 5000 m², the Casa Murza house, which has a bedroom, a suite and an annex, is a lovely eco-construction.
The atmosphere is peaceful and a warm welcome is reserved for each visitor by Bernard Camurat, the owner of the first eco-gîte in Corsica. Since 2009, the house has been certified Gîtes de France, relais Éco-Gîte (the eco-label specific to Gîtes de France accomodations) and complies with the commitments of the French High Environmental Quality label.
Without neglecting comfort, the accommodation is part of an environmentally friendly approach, which is important to the host.
Renewable energies, eco-design of the house, limited water and energy usage, and a zero waste approach are some of the green features of this B&B surrounded by a permaculture botanical garden.
In addition to welcoming travelers to his home, Bernard, a renowned luthier, opens the door of his workshop to music and instrument lovers.
On the cuisine side, it is Michel, your second host, who prepares the menus for the breakfasts and the evening dinners(made on demand).
His delicious dishes, prepared mainly from the permaculture garden produce and local producers are a great success.
To taste them, guests and hosts gather around a shared table, a time for sharing in a friendly atmosphere.
