Holiable’s review of Comptoir 102
Located a stone’s throw from “La Mer” Beach, Comptoir 102, seems like a little oasis on the busy Jumeirah Beach Road.
If you’ve been to Dubaï already, expect a totally different experience from most places in town.
Comptoir 102 is an organic plant-based café as well as a concept store where you can find home decoration, fashion and an organic grocery.
Philosophy
Created by two French ladies, Comptoir 102, is a place like no other, and quite unique in Dubaï.
A place to shop, and eat, in an independent villa, with a charming home-like atmosphere.
What’s in my plate?
From daily specials to signature bowls, all dishes at Comptoir 102 are designed to be healthy and sustainably sourced.
The partner organic producers’ delivery in the mornings will determine your choice on the menu.
Thought eating local and organic in the middle of the desert was impossible ? Comptoir 102 is there to prove you wrong
Mostly plant based, they also have options for flexitarians feeling like fish or meat (salmon was on the daily specials the day we visited) along with plenty of vegan and vegetarian dishes.
Desserts are all vegan, sugar and dairy free, and really tasty from what we tried.
Comptoir102 also has raw and gluten-free options
The eatery proudly advocate their cooking techniques chosen to optimize the taste as well as nutrient assimilation. We can confirm the taste part!😊
The dishes can be accompanied by raw detox juices, coffees or dairyfree smoothies
Would we go back ?
We loved the cosy atmosphere which made it really feel like a little oasis on a very hot day.
Finding organic as well as plant based options in Dubaï can be a challenge. The food was delicious and fresh and the vegan cheesecake was a real discovery for our taste buds, that we wanted to try at home
Price wise, the daily special formulas seemed really reasonable for the destination and the quality of the food.
We also loved that it was in a house, rather than a mall (often the case here) and particulary appreciated the zero plastic approach from fork to straws.
