Company Description

Located in a former travel agency, EcoMama is a hostel centrally located in Amsterdam.

The philosophy behind the hostel is to offer green and conscious hospitality.

The vision of the owners on sustainability transposes in the way the hotel was designed allowing people to connect and share in large communal spaces.

You’ll have the choice to experience the roof garden terrace, the “tipi” DVD room or the communal kitchen.

The green credentials range from organic linen in the beds to natural stone heating and no air-conditioning in the rooms, as well as smart water management and recycling.

And for your eco-friendly Amsterdam visit, Bikes can be rented right from the reception.

The rooms and communal spaces are furnished with upcycled or recycled material and use a lot of fair trade materials.

EcoMama has rooms to fit every eco-traveler’s needs. Several sized dorms accommodating 5 to 12 travelers with shared bathrooms, ladies only dorms, family rooms, and double rooms with en-suite bath.

EcoMama is also a hotel that has a social impact: for each stay 1 euro is donated to Niños de Guatemala – an NGO providing education to disadvantaged kids.
