Hortus Botanicus

Botanical Garden in Amsterdam

Holiable's review of Hortus Botanicus

While visiting Amsterdam, why not step out of the crowded streets and head to a nature spot.

Hortus Botanicus, is the city’s Botanical Garden

Easily accessible with direct access from the metro, this botanical garden is a treasure and a must see activity for nature lovers.

This botanical garden happens to be one of the oldest in the world. It is not as big as the one in Melbourne, but you’ll get to see over 4,000 species.

Hortus Botanicus in addition to it’s regular exhibit, organises regular exhibitions.

There are plenty of side activities, to learn and taste in the greenhouses of the botanical garden.

Our opinion

A great place for everyone, to learn about different botanical species of the world.

Our favorite spot : at the end of the visit, don’t miss a stop at the Orangery, the organic eatery, the we talk about here - The Orangery Hortus Botanicus

Recommended for : nature lovers, nature activities in town, gardens, families
