Holiable's review of La Grenouillère
On the family farm, two star Chef Alexandre Gauthier, invites you to take part in a gastronomic journey in the heart of the hauts-de-france coutryside.
The decor of the century old farm transforms into a modern space once in the restaurant, thank's to a spectacular open kitchen and a room entirely open on nature.
La Grenouillère, the playground of one of France's youngest starred chef's, puts the spotlight on the produce of the region.
The menu, printed on a slightly crumpled sheet of paper, invites you disconnect and changes each morning.
At lunch you'll be offered a 9-course menu, for diner you'll choose betwee 8 or 11 dishes.
The stars of the menu are all locally sourced, some produce are organic, and all can be accompanied by one of the 500 French wines on the winelist.
Visiting La grenouillère is a voyage in "haute gastronomie", diving into suprising flavours and estonishing combinations. You'll admire the plates' layouts as much as the dynamic ballet operating in the kitchen as well as by the service team. And above all, you'll savor every bite of it.
A luxurious culinary experience, through and exhilariting and inspired cuisine, going to la grenouillère is a travel experience in itself.
