The Lichen Café is ideally located in the city centre of Bordeaux and a short walk away from the tram.
Midway between a fast-good and a coffee shop, the Lichen Café opened early 2019 and it’s signature is “gourmet and vegetal”.
The Menu set according to the seasons, gives you the choice of a daily dish, designed every week according to the arrivals and cooked from scratch daily in Lichen’s cuisine.
Aside from the dish of the day, and if you’re in a more fast-casual mood, the buns are a great option.
The main philosophy of the Lichen Café is to be a cosy canteen, where tasty dishes made mostly from organic ingredients are served, from breakfast to tea time, and at night from thursday’s to satuday’s.
The ingredients are essentially local, and the team partnered with many producers from the area to meet their locavore target.
Vegeterian options are always on the menu and can be adapted to vegans as well.
In addition to their ecofriendly cuisine philosophy, the owners have chosen to limit their impact to a minimum serving filtered water, No plastic bottles or single-use items, and using renewable energy.
