Holiable's Review of The Green House
Philosophy
You've just landed in the recently opened restaurant of the creator of fast-good restaurants in France.
The American Chef, opened this new eatery in 2017 after succesfully introducing the food truck concept in France with her famous "le chien qui fume".
The whole concept of the Green House is to bring you healthy food, directly from nature to your plate and glass.
What's in my plate
The Green House is a true fast-good example.
Here only fresh, homemade and local produce will be used for your plate. The eatery works with local producers, mainly organic producers as well.
The challenge of the GreenHouse is also to have put up an urban veggie patch in front of the restaurant. As of today, not all the vegetables come from the GreenHouse's garden, but the idea is to make it happen.
Dish styles are inspired from asian and californian cuisine and focus mainly on vegetables and greens. Served under the forms of Tacos, Tapas or Bowls.
Meat lovers can also expect delicious tacos or tapas with Beef or fish.
In the evening, the eatery transforms into a wine bar. Small dishes and Natural Wine that you can enjoy on the restaurants terrasse. The wines served are natural and or organic.
Location
The Green House is easily accessible by metro in a small street away from the crowds.
It is close to the OberKampf and Menilmontant quarters, famous for a busy nightlife.
Here you will be more off the beaten paths, in a middle of a residential street.
Our opinion
We loved the food and the atmosphere.
We loved the fact that you can have healthy, local and/or organic food, with a great value for money.
When we visited, the veggie patch had suffered from the heat wave, but we loved the idea behind the Green House concept.
Serving fresh ingredients from the garden to the customers and also making the patch accessible to residents of the area.
For us the GreenHouse is a real little gem in the heart of Paris, and we loved the terrasse.
Good For: Healthy Food, Super Food, Natural wines, veggie/vegan friendly
Our tip: The terrasse can easily get crowded during nice summer nights, but it's worth waiting
